Teaching 298

1 Heal all sufferings, both those of the body and those of the soul, for you have the task of comforting, strengthening and healing your neighbor. But I ask you: How could you impart health to those in need if you yourselves were sick? What kind of peace could emanate from your soul when it is disturbed by worries, sufferings, tortures of conscience and low passions?

2 Only that which you have accumulated in your heart will you be able to offer to your fellow men.

3 Today you must gather as much as possible of the goods I am distributing among this people and learn to preserve them during hostilities and adversities, so that when the time comes to fulfil your mission, you may be victorious in the struggle The peace, light and balm will form one body with your being - in such a way that you will not only heal a sick person by the laying on of hands, but you will transmit health, peace and strengthening through your word, your thoughts, your gaze, and in many cases your mere presence will radiate these powers.

4 But do not believe that it will be enough for you to know that I have granted you these gifts. No - you must also know that you need the power to manifest them, and it is indispensable that you obtain these through faith in me, through love activity toward your neighbor, through purity of feelings and selflessness. Whoever does not work according to these principles will - even if he is gifted through me - pass on nothing good. For these gifts blossom and multiply only through noble, pure and uplifting feelings.

5 Although there are many who, in spite of their unpreparedness, leave a trail of miracles in their wake, there are also many who, in spite of their unpreparedness, leave a trail of miracles in their wake. But it is not they who do them - it is I, because I have compassion for the needy, the sick, the spiritually poor, and the people of good faith. But then those "workers" attribute my miracles to themselves.

6 There are other cases in which the one who is not yet qualified for what I have entrusted to him is not yet qualified because he does not know the way to prepare himself. But his faith is great, and he feels mercy for his neighbor. To him I grant that he perform miracles to encourage him in his work, so that he may persevere and perfect himself.

7 To say that I take away from him who does not make good use of his gifts is a mistake. But he who does not use them for the purposes I have indicated to him immediately loses the power to use them.

8 How should I rob man of his spiritual gifts when these are the means to obtain his salvation and his only weapons to defend himself? If my justice were to proceed as you believe, I would already have deprived many men of the light of their conscience, and many brains I would have withheld intelligence. But I tell you once again that I do not withhold their gifts from men because it is precisely these qualities through which they must redeem themselves and be raised to perfection. You tell me that some lose their intellect, and some prematurely lose life or any ability. Certainly, but it is not I who snatches from them what already belongs to them. It is they themselves who through weakness, folly, and blindness rob themselves of what their father has given them as inheritance.

9 Is not my justice-loving hand present in all this?

10 But if you observe a little the way in which I apply my perfect justice, you will be convinced that it is my love that shows itself in each of these cases, giving light to some, peace to others, and life to others, although I also tell you that to regain what they have lost, they must first undergo a great purification

11 I will speak to you about everything in this word, because not a single chapter of my teaching must be missing. About everything I will teach you so that tomorrow you will have no doubt, no uncertainty.

12 I want to make of you a people aware of its destiny, a connoisseur of its mission, prepared to sow and spread with all truthfulness and purity this blessed seed which I have let fall into your heart for the blessing and spiritual progress of mankind

13 Therefore, when I began my teaching address this day, I told you first of all that you should heal and strengthen yourselves with me today. For of what is in your heart you will pass on to your fellow men.

14 Never trust that I pour out my mercy in spite of your imperfections and your unpreparedness for the needy who come to you For already now I tell you that even if you can hide the evil here in the world, from me and when your judgment has come, only your merits will be able to save you from a painful reparation.

15 Do you understand what this teaching has explained to you? Then never forget them.

16 Beloved people: I have manifested Myself in the way of your life, I have tested you in various forms and have seen that you love Me. You have stumbled over the rocks of the way, but you have made use of your faith and have risen again.

17 My teaching saves you, and my word lifts you up, because you have faith in my presence and in my message through the understanding of these voices.

18 Your soul has had the satisfaction of discovering in its body the sensitivity which enabled you to recognize my presence in this manifestation.

19 How many are there who know, through the writings of former times, the prophecies that announced this era? And yet - if they were to attend my manifestations, they would not believe them, nor would they take them as the fulfillment of those promises! They are those who have not reached the degree of development that would allow them to recognize this light.

How many, on the other hand, of those who would give their lives today to testify that it is I who make myself known to men at this time, did not even know that there are prophecies that speak of these events. The reason for this is that their soul was already prepared and ready to receive the light.

20 Prophets, enlightened and seers perceived my coming in spirit; they saw the book that opened to pour out its contents on the minds of men; they confirmed the presence of the spiritual world among men. They saw the new mountain where the Lord would come to unite his people. But verily, I tell you, just as you came and felt Me, so shall one people after another and one man after another come, as soon as the appointed time for each one's awakening has come.

21 Do not believe that I will make myself known in every nation and people of the earth in the form I have granted you But in my infinite power and wisdom I will know how to knock at the doors of all hearts.

22 I must tell you that you must spread and make known throughout the whole earth this spiritual seed which I have entrusted to you in this time.

23 The time of my proclamation has been the time of the preparation of this people. Long and detailed has been the instruction-so long that I saw some generations leave this earth and others come to replace them. So this has been necessary so that the seed would grow, mature and bear fruit.

24 The teaching is now nearing its end, so hear that in every teaching address I reveal to you the way in which you must work in the future.

25 My work has a great final aim, and it is my word that leads you to this aim.

26 I know that you will yet shed tears, though you are in the ranks of the people who have heard my voice. You will lament your division, because the trials will find you weak. Then it will be the pain and the blows which the world will give, which will make you remove from your right hand the banner of peace, unity and good will, of which I have spoken to you since the first days of my announcement.

27 Be blessed if, in hearing these words, you will be able to avoid pain and be united in brotherhood. I see the pain and sadness in those who have dreamed of the brotherhood of this people and have not yet seen any sign of unity. These are the ones who silently say to me: "Lord, it is your love that unites us. Give us a short while longer to fight for our salvation".

28 Others ask Me: "Master, why must the heart purify itself and why is there suffering when we hear Your Word? but I tell you: people, still you are not clean from every spot, still you are not free from pain There are strings in your being which have not yet been afflicted, and it is necessary to test them so that the spiritual soul and the heart may attain firmness.

29 If you would no longer feel pain just by hearing Me - would you make an effort in your life to purify yourself and come closer to Me? Verily, I tell you, you would then do nothing more to improve your mental and moral conditions.

30 Know, disciples, that the goal of your struggle is that state of soul which no longer reaches pain, and this goal is achieved through merits, struggles, trials, sacrifices, and renunciations.

31 Notice those instances of patience, faith, humility, and submission that you sometimes discover in some of your fellow men. These are souls sent by Me to set an example of virtue among mankind. Apparently the fate of these creatures is sad, yet they know in their faith that they have come to fulfill a mission.

32 Great examples of my messengers and disciples you have received in your history - names which are known to you; but do not therefore fail to recognize the small examples you meet in your life's journey.

33 Many times you perform acts of great exaltation, which reach the Father as tribute, which are worthy of his remembrance, and which serve as an example to those who surround you. Not always do you become aware of the value of that work or the merit of that action, and this is so better for you that the heart does not become proud of its merits, for then the seed will be spoiled. But the soul still has knowledge of the value of its works. If it were not so - how often would it then waste its time on mediocre works, believing that it is occupied with superior and useful acts.

34 Disciples, you have become steadfast in your sufferings, but now you must develop yourselves upward through spiritualization. It does not matter that human life with its hardships, its worries and its temptations takes you captive. This conquest is only apparent when you know how to discover the way to free yourself. But what is this procedure like to give the soul expansion and freedom? By prayer, by reflection on my work, by preoccupation with noble works, by exaltation over misfortunes.

35 Whoever achieves this will have entered into a world of light and peace without failing to fulfill his task in the material world.

36 This is the way which I have marked out for you so that you escape from materialism, earthly hardships, pain, temptations and vices.

37 I invite you to prayer, meditation and good works, so that you may reach, thanks to spiritualization, the regions where you will quench your thirst with the water of truth, and where you will be flooded with the light of your Father. Only there you will be able to be inspired for the good fulfillment of your duties - both spiritual and human.

38 As long as you have to live on the earth, do it in the best possible way But do not show your rejection when the cup of pain pours its contents into your heart, declaring that you no longer want to live on this world. The earth is the "valley" where the soul purifies itself, and where merit is earned to take a higher home. If you knew how much it costs your soul to inhabit it.

39 It is necessary that you pave the way and prepare the home for the generations that will come to continue your work. But if you do not fulfill the part that comes to you, they will have to do what you have not done, and what is commanded to them they will have to leave to others. Do you think that you will thus do justice to the will of your Father?

40 When you entered into this way here, you received on your lips the fruit of former generations This was the gift they left you as an inheritance. Do you not think that you should leave something prepared in the same way for those who will soon come to replace you?

41 Wake up, people! The hereafter watches your steps on earth! These worlds know your works! When they see this humanity perish in the sea of their enmities and passions, they are shaken and pray them for you.

42 Be of good cheer, ye are not forsaken. Trust in your Father and have confidence in those who love you and protect you from the spiritual kingdom.

43 If you really dedicate yourselves to my work in the time in which I am giving you my teaching - verily, I tell you, this time will be enough for you to be prepared to take the firm step towards the new period of time that is coming upon you

44 These last three years of my proclamation I have designated to represent those years in which I preached my teaching in the Second Age. Thus you will be able to better understand the love, the willpower and the devotion of the disciples who followed me at that time, since a short time was enough for them to become disciples of the Divine Master, apostles of truth.

45 It was twelve chosen ones at that time who were to follow me directly, and of the twelve only one fell in the hour of trial, when my departure was near.

46 Today I have placed at my table a great number of disciples so that, by constantly hearing Me and following my instructions step by step, they may come as strong to the end of this time of announcement - strong enough not to betray their Master nor to betray themselves.

47 "Watch and pray", I tell you, people, as I said to my disciples when the hour had come. Be awake, for the body is weak and can betray its soul in a moment of weakness, and I do not want you to have to shed bitter tears later as a man or as a spirit being because of a moment of confusion or weakness.

48 Do not think that the consequences of disobedience are immediately apparent - no. But what I say to you is this, that sooner or later you must answer for your works; even if it sometimes seemed to you that your transgression had no consequences, considering that time passed and my righteousness gave no sign at all. But you already know by my word that I am implacable as a judge and that when your judgment has come, you will open your eyes to the light of conscience.

49 Let no one take this judgment upon himself, let no one desire this cup of pain, fear, remorse, and despair, for your soul will suffer in a way you cannot imagine if your conscience continually calls her "disobedient," "traitor," "ingrate," after she has been called by her Master "beloved disciple," "beloved," and "heiress of my kingdom

50 If I did not know that you are still capable of error, disobedience or degradation, I would not speak to you in this way. But I know about your weakness, and it is necessary that I shake you awake. But why have you not yet attained full knowledge of the way in which you must interpret each of my instructions, although you have soon reached the end of my proclamation? Because you have become accustomed to my word to the degree that you think it is forever less important, and you are forever more important.

51 I speak to you for your good, because no human error will be able to touch my spirit or my work. But you will very well be able to cause many evils to yourselves through your errors, and I want you to spare yourselves this evil.

52 You know how, in the Second Time, a moment of weakness of one of my disciples caused so much pain not only to his Master, but also to his brothers and to all who loved Me, as from that moment everything became different for those who followed Me.

The Master was snatched from the arms of the disciples, the words of love that his lips so often uttered ended. That blessed body through which they felt the presence of God in the world disappeared. They felt that the shadows of pain and abandonment surrounded their lives. But not only they wept over that sacrificial death, but the humanity of all times wept over it.

53 Now I ask you, do you believe that the error of that traitorous disciple has prevented my work from being completed? Do you believe that that mistake has changed what I had planned? - In no way. My work, my truth, and my mission were accomplished with the highest perfection, just as all the circumstances of life that those disciples would bring before their Lord had to occur. For the divine will will never be able to be subject to human actions. It is carried out regardless of the sin of men and always will be.

54 Know that I prepare all for the day of testing, which is drawing near But I tell you that one single conscientious and prepared voice bearer would be enough for me to transmit my last words, to seal with them the truth, which I have revealed to you during so many years and through so many voice bearers.

55 Know, O Israel, how small is the multitude that dwells under the tree of life. Some have not understood my divine teaching, others have been surprised by the temptation in their ways. But I give you good advice as a father, and as a master I teach you.

56 This teaching you are to imprint in your heart, that you may follow my trace, that you may give light to the blind, that the deaf may hear the call of my love, that the lame may walk and follow me, that mankind may see the light of noon.

57 I am currently preparing men to make them free from every sin. My light illuminates their hearts so that they may exercise love for one another.

58 From the time that Elijah led you to the hurdle, you have been prepared to reach the spiritualization and ascension of your soul. You came to me and said, "Lord, do your will on me. I gave you a new legging, removed the rags you offered Me, and adorned your soul with a pure garment. I put into your soul the sign of my chosen people Israel and told you These are the ranks to which you belong, that you may show submission and obedience to my commission. And you have said to me, "Father, do your will on me.

59 Yes, my children, I have enlightened you so that you may not be ignorant, so that you, being strong, may exercise my teaching, so that you may give Me shelter in your hearts and separate yourselves from evil, so that you may feel the pain of men who blindly walk their way out of materialization I have given you the spiritual balm so that you may heal them and give them new life, so that you may lead them to Me.

60 I have come in this time to give life to the "dead", to save mankind and snatch it from its abysses, to present, from the first page of the book to the present page, the teaching which I have given it through the ages Here is my love, my infinite wisdom. Whoever wants to understand Me shall live in Me. He who wants to love Me shall be with Me and must follow his way with spiritualization so that pain no longer overcomes him and he no longer feels alone.

61 This is your mission, Israel. Prepare yourselves, for you must be my disciples, you must listen to your Master with all your attention. For each of you must be like an open book tomorrow, in which men study and fathom my word.

62 Your fulfillment of your commission is not limited to the four walls of a meeting room. No, Israel, my penetrating gaze watches over every one of your works, and if you want to deviate from the way for a short time, I will allow it to you because you have freedom of will. But I tell you: In your disobedience you will encounter pain at every turn. But when you will repent, I will tell you: Return to me, because I expect you to give you comfort.

63 Everyone who would come to the Father must be free from his pride, vanity, and every infirmity which my piercing gaze sees.

64 It has pleased me to avail myself of the humble, the ignorant. My love has worked his heart. I entrusted my law to him, let him feel my presence and told him: Go and let the call go out to your fellow men, lead them to me, because I will give them everything they need for their spiritual ascent. Therefore, I have told you that your mission is great and difficult. You must understand many things and work much in your spiritual path. But you are not poor, you are rich, because you have me, because you have heard and felt me, because I have encouraged you and told you: Be unconcerned, because my mercy will always be with you. To every "worker" I have given a piece of land so that he may cultivate it and reap good fruits. But if the fruits are bitter, I will not accept them. The laborer will have to cultivate his land again until he reaps the fruits that have good taste and are worthy to come to me.

65 My work will remain immaculate, and my truth will always be the same.

66 The stains and profanations of this people will be blotted out by my righteousness, and you will see my will done whenever it is done.

67 Ye now know what I want from you, and what ye shall not do according to my will. Live in harmony with your conscience, and it will always tell you what you must do to fulfill my will.

68 I tell you again that you should keep watch and that you should pray, so that in this time there will not be one who will be tempted at the decisive hour. But if someone should rise up against my will by betraying what I have ordered, and he should cause the events to take a different course - verily, I tell you, my work will then suffer no harm because it is divine. But those who should proudly disregard my will at the decisive moment will feel in their being the consequences of their stubbornness.
