The Dawn of a New Era

BTL, Vol. VIII _ I. 234: 26. Now is a moment of grace for those who dwell on earth and for those who no longer live on it, because they hear My voice, which was first heard in this form in 1866.
27. The first ones who listened to Me treated My work like a tree, cutting off the first branches to transplant them to different regions. Some interpreted My teachings well, while others strayed from the path.
28. The groups that gathered in the shade of the humble meeting places were small. But as these groups grew in number and the crowds of people expanded, I called upon them to unite, so that all might recognize themselves as disciples of a single Master and practice the teachings in the same way; so that the seed might be sown not according to the “workers’”* own discretion, but in accordance with the divine will.
*Reference to Jesus’ parable of the “laborers in the vineyard.”
Jesus could not reveal everything during His time on earth because humanity was not yet ready for it. However, He announced that the Father would send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. This Third Age was ushered in by Elijah, whose spirit enlightened an instrument chosen by God. He was a simple man named Roque Rojas; like John the Baptist, he was the forerunner so that God’s Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Truth—could be revealed among humanity.
In the year 1866, the Spirit of Elijah proclaimed through his messenger: “I am Elijah, the prophet of the First Age, the one of the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor; prepare yourselves…” Those listeners who possessed the gift of spiritual vision saw Jesus, Moses, and Elijah at that time, just as the disciples had experienced during the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mount Tabor. This is confirmation of the three great epochs and of the fact that Elijah symbolizes the “Third Age,” in which the Spirit of Truth reveals Himself—or, the return of Christ in the Spirit (God, the Holy Spirit, the Trinity).
God bestows His revelations in perfect sequence: The teaching of love was given to us through Jesus (Second Age), after we had already acquired sufficient knowledge of God’s righteousness (First Age). And so we will be able to receive the teaching of truth and wisdom within ourselves (Third Age) to the extent that we fulfill the teachings of love.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus’ disciples, upon their later co-workers and fellow believers, and subsequently upon a few chosen ones was—despite its great significance—only a modest beginning, as it were, a foretaste of what was to come. The so-called Pentecost event encompassed only a small circle; yet the complete fulfillment must encompass the entire Spiritual People of Israel, as the prophet Joel already prophesied: “And afterward I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 3:1)—What was then the future has been the present since 1866. The Spirit of Truth is now among us.

Roque Rojas was anointed by Christ with the Holy Spirit on September 1, 1866. He established places of assembly in the suburbs of Mexico City and prepared the so-called “voice-bearers,” who, from 1884 to 1950, were to serve Christ as instruments to convey His Word to people through speaking in tongues.

4. It is I who have come to tell you that you are now living in the time associated with the Sixth Seal.
5. The year 1866 marks the beginning of this era of light. I sent Elijah to lift the veil of mystery and to usher in the time of My manifestation as the Holy Spirit among humanity. Elijah enlightened a man chosen by Me, so that he might be the forerunner. It was that chosen one, named Roque Rojas*, who heard, from spirit to spirit, the voice of the Prophet, which commanded him in My name to call and gather his brothers**, because a divine revelation was ready to illuminate the destiny of humanity. Roque Rojas, gentle and humble as a lamb, obeyed the spiritual voice and replied, “May the will of my Lord be done in me.”

14. Ever since the first messenger whose receptivity I used for this manifestation, I have told you that this divine revelation, which began in 1866, would end in the year 1950, and that you would not be left orphaned after that year, for My presence would be felt even more strongly if you knew how to prepare yourselves.

96. Roque Rojas came into the world with the mission of being the first channel of communication through which Elijah called the first workers of the Third Era, and among those first ones who received assignments, a young woman named Damiana Oviedo emerged with the necessary spiritualization and devotion so that the miracle of My revelation through the human mind might be accomplished in her. Since then, and through this medium, My Word has indicated the duration of this revelation, which began with the proclamation of Elias and will last from 1866 to 1950.
97. Many channels of understanding were prepared so that you might have My inexhaustible Word, which is a source of wisdom and revelations until the very last moment of My revelation.

36. Since 1866, I have been seeking new disciples among humanity and preparing them so that they may observe My commandments with devotion and serve as forerunners of the new apostles who will come to Me.
